Marleya Studio

Privacy policy

The only personal data this site collects is what you type into the contact form. Here is what happens to it. Last updated October 13, 2026.

Who is responsible for your data

Martín Jiménez, working as Marleya Studio, based in Acapulco, Guerrero, Mexico, is responsible for the personal data described here. This policy follows Mexico's Federal Law on the Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties (LFPDPPP). Contact for anything about your data: hello@marleyastudio.com.

What data is collected

When you send the contact form:

  • Your name
  • Your email address
  • The type of project you are interested in
  • The message you write

No sensitive personal data is requested. Please do not include health, financial or other sensitive information in your message.

If you become a client, contracts and invoices may also need billing details. Those are requested directly and handled under the same terms.

Why it is used

Primary purposes, needed to respond to you:

  • Answering your message and preparing a quote
  • Planning, delivering and supporting a project if you hire Marleya Studio
  • Invoicing and meeting legal obligations

Your data is not used for advertising, not added to a mailing list and never sold.

Who else handles it

Your data is not shared with third parties for their own use. These providers store or process it on Marleya Studio's behalf, only to run the service:

  • Netlify, Inc. (USA) hosts the site and receives contact form submissions.
  • Hostinger provides the email inbox at hello@marleyastudio.com.

Because Netlify is in the United States, sending the form transfers your data outside Mexico. These transfers are permitted by the LFPDPPP because they are needed to answer your request and are made to providers acting on Marleya Studio's behalf.

Data may be disclosed to authorities only when the law requires it.

How long it is kept

Inquiries that do not become projects are deleted within 12 months. Client records are kept for as long as the project and Mexican tax law require, then deleted.

Your rights

You can ask to access your data, correct it, cancel (delete) it or object to its use, known in Mexico as ARCO rights. You can also withdraw your consent or limit how your data is used.

Send an email to hello@marleyastudio.com with your name, the right you want to exercise, a description of the data involved and a way to confirm your identity. You will get an answer within 20 business days, and the request is resolved within 15 business days after that answer.

If you believe your rights were not respected, you may file a complaint with the Mexican data protection authority.

Security

The whole site is served over HTTPS, so the form travels encrypted. Access to the inbox and the hosting account is limited to Martín Jiménez and protected by strong passwords.

Cookies and browser storage

This site does not use tracking or advertising cookies. The details are in the cookie notice.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page with a new date. Significant changes that affect clients will also be sent by email.
